Life of a 17 Year Old Boy Called Sesugh Allegedly Cut Short By Economic and Financial Crimes Commission in Makurdi Benue State.
Reports emerging yesterday revealed the tragic death of a 17 year old boy who was allegedly involved in an incident connected to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Benue State Zonal Command.
According to information circulating, the teenager and a friend had reportedly escaped from EFCC custody following a raid in their area, during which they and several others were arrested and detained at the Commission’s facility.
It was further alleged that while the two were in hiding, EFCC operatives traced their location around a settlement called Gberindyer in Makurdi, Eyewitness accounts claim that upon sighting the operatives, the young man attempted to flee and was allegedly shot in the leg before falling. Reports also allege that he was subsequently shot in the chest again while the community came out and insisted they must carry his dead body along because they want to flee the scene.
Sources claim that the operatives took away his body anyways and as of the time of this report, the family has reportedly not been granted access to see their son but again I have been informed he was taken to the Police State Command clinic.
The general public now awaits an official statement and clarification from the EFCC Zonal Command in Makurdi regarding the incident.
