CRIME: Mortuary attendant caught using deceased leg as walking stick (Viewer's Discretion advised)

 

In Agwabi, Buruku local government area of Benue State, a mortician named Amaobi, responsible for a mortuary, was taken into custody after being discovered using a deceased person's leg as a walking stick. 

The incident occurred in the morning, and Amaobi allegedly took the leg to a retailer's shop to acquire items. This unusual behavior drew the attention of the community, resulting in his arrest by youths. Upon interrogation by security personnel, Amaobi asserted that his actions were a demonstration intended to draw attention.

He claimed to be seeking support to appeal to the government for assistance, particularly in evacuating over 18 criminal corpses killed by security operatives last year and deposited in his mortuary. 

A further investigation is to be conducted at the police station in Buruku local government headquarters.
