Newcastle United lost back-to-back Premier League games for the first time since January on Sunday, falling to Chelsea 2-1. In addition, they have now lost five straight league games (D2, L3).
They are ranked a lackluster 12th ahead of the round, which is below where they would have expected to be, even though they have finally ended a run of more than seven hours without scoring from open play.
